TRUESENSE 6.0-micron Full Frame CCD Platform
The TRUESENSE 6.0-Micron Full-Frame CCD Platform, the fourth generation of image sensor technology from Truesense Imaging designed for professional photography markets, establishes a new benchmark for performance in the most demanding photographic applications.
Based on a high-performance 6.0 micron pixel, this platform provides almost 30% greater resolution than the previous generation of technology without impacting critical imaging performance parameters such as dynamic range and sensitivity. Data throughput has been increased from the use of a new four-output architecture, and color accuracy has been improved by use of a new red pigment in the sensor’s color filter array. A new global reset function allows the entire image sensor array to be reset using only a single pulse, extending camera battery life and reducing “click to capture” time for improved camera response and performance. Together, these enhancements enable a new generation of cameras that provide a resolution and performance edge compared to earlier image sensors.
