The new KAI-08051 Image Sensor provides improved light sensitivity, reduced read noise, and improved color accuracy compared to the previous generation device, expanding opportunities for 8 megapixel image capture in demanding imaging applications such as Intelligent Traffic, Surveillance, Medical Imaging, and Industrial Inspection.

ON Semiconductor Completes Acquisition of Truesense Imaging, Inc.

PHOENIX, Ariz. May 1, 2014 ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), driving energy efficient innovations, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Truesense Imaging, Inc., a provider of high-performance image sensor devices addressing a wide range of industrial end-markets including machine vision, surveillance, traffic monitoring, medical and scientific imaging, and photography. The acquisition was completed on April 30 and the announcement was made earlier today during the company’s first quarter earnings report.

ON Semiconductor to Acquire Truesense Imaging, Inc.

PHOENIX, Ariz. and ROCHESTER, NY April 2, 2014ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), driving energy efficient innovations, today signed a definitive agreement to acquire Truesense Imaging, Inc., a provider of high-performance image sensor devices addressing a wide range of industrial end-markets including machine vision, surveillance, traffic monitoring, medical and scientific imaging, and photography. The acquisition of Truesense Imaging strongly complements ON Semiconductor’s image-sensor business by vastly expanding its technology portfolio and adding more than 200 new customers. Under the terms of the agreement, ON Semiconductor will pay approximately $92 million in cash to acquire Truesense Imaging, subject to customary adjustments at closing. The acquisition will be funded by available cash on ON Semiconductor’s balance sheet.

Platinum Equity to Sell Truesense Imaging to ON Semiconductor

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 2, 2014) – Platinum Equity announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Truesense Imaging to ON Semiconductor (NASDAQ: ONNN). Under the terms of the agreement, ON Semiconductor will pay approximately $92 million in cash for the business.

New CMOS and CCD Image Sensors from Truesense Imaging Target High Performance Imaging Applications

ROCHESTER, N.Y., September 16, 2013 – Truesense Imaging is now making its most advanced CMOS and CCD Image Sensors available for Intelligent Traffic, Machine Vision, Security, and other applied imaging applications. 

Three new devices – the 12 megapixel KAC-12040 CMOS Image Sensor, the 1080p KAI-02170 Interline CCD Image Sensor, and the 4 megapixel KAI-04070 Interline CCD Image Sensor – have now been released for production, making them the latest products available in Truesense Imaging’s broad portfolio of CCD and CMOS Image Sensors.
